Rose oil is one of the most expensive fragrance oils. One kilogram of the oil is produced from five tons of damask rose flowers grown in Bulgaria. It contains substances which have an excellent effect on the skin, as well as analgesic, sedative, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.

This oil is often in the cosmetic industry as one of the ingredients, not only for its fragrance, but also for its medicinal properties. Other forms in which rose oil can be used are:
- bath – soothing and aromatic after adding 6 drops with a spoon of milk or honey
- aromatherapy – a wonderful smell can be achieved by adding 5 drops of oil diluted with 2 tablespoons of water to a special fireplace
- massage – a tablespoon of olive oil and 3-4 drops of oil is a great oil to massage sore muscles
